Not only will it be easier to install, but because it is a permanent magnet gear reduction starter it will spin faster with less amperage draw. Recommended for engines with compression ratios up to 11:1.
Solve those hot start problems! This starter has one of the lowest profiles available because the solenoid sits very low on the starter. This allows it to be further from the exhaust and since it has no field windings, and uses permanent magnets, it will start your vehicle better under high heat conditions. This starter has a rotatable front mounting plate to index the starter and give you clearance for your exhaust, oil pan, or linkage.
Fits applications for both automatic or manual transmissions with 153 or168 tooth flywheels for Chevy and GMC vehicles using 262(4.3L), 305(5.0L), 307, 327, 350(5.7L), 396, 400(6.6L), 402, 427, 454(7.4L) engines. Replaces starters with the staggered mounting bolt pattern.
